Newly-appointed RDC Region 12 head Rivera vows more inclusive development initiatives

As he formally assumed his post as Regional Development Council (RDC) Region 12 chair, General Santos Mayor Ronnel Rivera vowed to push for the implementation of more inclusive development initiatives in his area of jurisdiction.

This is part of the politiko’s bid to sustain Region 12’s status as among the country’s fastest growing economies.

Rivera took his oath last March 15 as RDC Region 12 chairperson before Executive Judge Oscar Noel of the Regional Trial Court Branch 35 during the council’s 57th regular meeting.

The General Santos mayor said he will work with regional line agencies and local government units to make sure that the region’s development agenda will be fully realized through the support of the national government.

He specifically cited the implementation of vital infrastructure projects and various socio-economic programs.

“I’m looking forward to work with the region’s stakeholders about this. This will be an inclusive effort,” he said.
