Antique gov’t working to increase daily of job orders
Antique Vice Governor Edgar Denosta said the provincial government is now working to increase the daily wage of its job orders employees.
The politiko added the wage rate was discussed during his meetings with heads of offices.
Job orders are now in the process of renewing their contracts.
Denosta said the Antique Human Resource Office is now being requested to come up with a standardized rate based on the minimum wage rate set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) so that Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao can issue an Executive Order to that effect.
The current pay of job order of P296 a day is below the daily minimum wage rate of the DOLE which is P298.
Denosta said the rate of the provincial government is old because it was adopted wayback in 1992.
The politiko said that most of the job orders will be renewed this year and only few will be new hires.
