Antique OIC Denosta optimistic on construction of P75M legislative building
Antique officer-in-charge (OIC) Edgar Denosta is optimistic that the construction of the proposed PHP75 million legislative building will start middle of this year.
The politiko said this was discussed with Senator Loren Legarda last year and the fund requirement has been included in the General Appropriations Act (GAA).
He said that the lady senator, whose roots hail from Antique and worked out for the inclusion of the funding in the GAA, advised that the frontage of the old capitol building where the Sangguniang Panlalawigan now holds office should be preserved.
This is because of its historical significance as it was built during the American period.
“We are so thankful for the funding,” Denosta said.
