Antique provincial employees to get 5K PEI
All 1,200 Antique provincial government employees will receive their performance enhancement incentive (PEI) on December 20, according to acting Governor Julius Ceasar Tajanlangit.
Tajanlangit, who was designated by Gov. Rhodora J. Cadiao as officer-in-charge while she is on official travel to Manila, announced during December 19’s flag-raising ceremony that employees will each receive a P5,000 PEI.
Provincial accountant Esther Minnie Julian said that they have allocated around PHP6.5 million for the benefit that will be availed by around 1,200 regular employees.
The PEI is being given to employees to encourage them to improve their efficiency.
It could be recalled that then President Benigno Aquino III signed the Executive Order (E.O.) 181 entitled “Implementation of the Provisions of the FY 2015 General Appropriations Act (GAA) on the Grant of the FY 2015 Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) to Government Employees” last May 15, 2015.
The E.O. 181 was intended to strengthen public service within the Philippine bureaucracy.
